About the Villages

Horsham and Newton St Faith are situated 6 miles north of Norwich and has an approximate population of 1600. There is a strong community within the villages that is reflected in the impressive Community Centre but in addition to this the following organisations and business that make our village so special:

A unique church that serves both Church of England and Methodist worshippers, the church stands in the grounds of the once priory of which part still remains including 13th century wall paintings.

We have a primary school that serves both villages, this is served by a pre school based at the Mission rooms. The Doctors Surgery is part of the Drayton partnership and is open from Monday to Fridays.

For leisure there is the Community centre that can offer its members Tennis, Badminton, Archery, Football, Gymnasium, Sauna & Swimming pool, Play Area, Woodland walk and Function rooms for hire. There is a Bar and regular entertainment.

We have two Post Offices, one serving each village, one restaurant and two Public hostelries which serve food. We have a bus service serving the route from Norwich to Cromer - Sheringham.

The village has a small industrial area serving the commercial world, companies included are: Petans, Kestrel Kitchens, Biorb fish tanks.

We have prepared a "Past Scenes" page which has photos of the villages at the turn of the century, please click here.
